After much effort I have obtained the data for fish survey reporting on the Wensum and two other comparable rivers, the Upper Ouse and the river Gipping. The report attached looks at the density and biomass of Roach, Dace, Chub, Perch and Pike, with specific focus on Roach, once so infomass on the Wensum. The report shows that the long term trend for Roach stock when compared to similar rivers is between 2 – 7 times lower.

This now demonstrates that Roach need additional help to bring a healthy stock density to the Wensum. We will be defining this in our next report.
